IMPRS monthly meeting
Title: The world of the microchip
Time and Place: Feb. 8th, 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, MPL library
Speaker: Dr. Ying-Jen Chen (ASML, The Netherlands)
Organisation: Dung-Han Yeh (MPL/Russell Division)
Abstract: The prosperity of human’s life in recent 30 years has relied on the ever-changing technologies on PCs, cell-phones and other consumer electronics. Their performance, however, are largely attributed to micro-chips which strive to follow the Moore’s Law. Optical lithography, on the other hand, plays an important role in manufacturing micro-chips with smaller size and equivalently better performance. In this IMPRS monthly meeting, we gladly invite our MPL alumni, Dr. Ying-Jen Chen, who is currently working in ASML, Netherlands to have a talk. ASML is currently the largest supplier in optical lithography system in semiconductor industry. In this talk, Dr. Ying-Jen Chen will talk about What ASML is devoted to, the working atmosphere in ASML, and the most important of all, the experience of applying a job in ASML.
