Kick-off Meeting for construction work of the MPZ-PM


After the necessary forerunnings, the official kick-off meeting took place at the Max-Planck-Administration headquarter in Munich. All involved faculty representatives, planers, project leaders, coordinators and designated scientist of the MPZ-PM came together, to celebrate the official start of the project.

The first MPZ-PM hiring

Dr. Vasily Zaburdaev accepts a call from FAU for a new Chair in Mathematics in Life sciences. The Chair will be hosted by the Department of Biology at FAU and constitutes on the central pillars of MPZ-PM. 

Dr. Zaburdaev currently leads a research group at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems in Dresden.



W3 Professorship for Medical Physics

MPZ-PM is now hiring one of its important professorships in the area of Micro-Tissue Engineering 


The Faculty of Medicine invites applications for a

W3 Professorship for "Medical Physics and Micro-Tissue Engineering"

to be filled by the earliest possible starting date. This position is a permanent appointment and the professor will be director of the Institute of Medical Physics and Micro-Tissue Engineering
