8th annual meeting of MPL’s graduate school

The annual meeting of the International Max Planck Research School - Physics of Light (IMPRS-PL) took place in Gößweinstein in September.

IMPRS annual meeting 2017

The IMPRS annual meeting is a yearly event held at a location nearby Erlangen. It features lectures by invited speakers and advisors, student talks, posters presentation and panel discussion. Topics of the meeting range from Nanophotonics, Nano-Optics, Quantum Optics to Astroparticle Physics and more.

The 2017 edition of the IMPRS annual meeting has been held in Hotel Stempferhof, Gößweinstein on 25-28 September 2017. The program included Invited presentations and block-lectures by Antoine Kouchner (Paris Diderot University), Christoph Lienau (University of Oldenburg), Allard Mosk (Utrecht University), Isabelle Philippa Staude (Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena), Stephan Götzinger (MPL Erlangen) and Joachim von Zanthier (FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg). 




IMPRS-PL is a joint initiative of the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light (MPL), the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU), the Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena (FSU), the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering (IOF). The institutions jointly offer a Since very recently, the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light (MPL) together with the Friedrich-Alexander University (FAU) in Erlangen-Nürnberg additionally offer a joined Master’s program in physics within the framework of IMPRS-PL.
