MPL at CLEO/Europe - EQEC

MPL was nearly empty from June 26 to June 30, as a large delegation of our researchers was taking part in Europe’s largest conferences on photonics and related research fields: the 2023 CLEO/Europe-EQEC.

CLEO, the Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, is an international conference to highlight new frontiers in lasers, photonics and optical science across a wide range of technical areas. Together with EQEC, the European Quantum Electronics Virtual Conferences, CLEO provides a unique forum to obtain informative overviews and discuss recent advances in a wide spectrum of topics, from fundamental light-matter interactions and new sources of coherent light to technology development, system engineering and applications in industry and applied science.

CLEO/EQEC are Europe’s largest conferences on photonics and related research fields. The program features plenary lectures, keynote and tutorial speakers, invited talks, contributed talks and poster sessions within the different topics. Furthermore, the conference will feature 10 short courses and joint symposia.

The conferences will take place in Munich from June 26 to June 30. MPL is taking part in the conferences in a significant way, with both the managing director, Vahid Sandoghdar and the founding director, Gerd Leuchs attending, as well as scientists from six different research groups. They are adding over 20 contributions short courses, invited and oral presentations as well as poster sessions on topics ranging from “quantum interferometry”, over “optical microresonators to “light-sound interactions” and many more. You can find all the MPL contributions here.
