Within Germany there are many opportunities for visitors to spend from a few weeks to a few months or years with us, whether as part of a PhD project at another university, in a collaborative research project, or as a visiting Max-Planck or Humboldt Research Fellow. The Max-Planck Society also offers awards for talented young scientists to set up their own independent research groups, hosted by a Max-Planck Institute. All of these can be held in connection with the Max-Planck Research Group. There are also Humboldt Prize Awards - highly flexible fellowships that enable senior scientists to visit us and establish collaborative programmes of research. We are delighted to consider suggestions from people who would like to work more closely with us.
We always welcome applications from highly-motivated and well-qualified students and scientists. We can offer positions for:

  • Visiting scientists
  • Postdoctoral researchers
  • PhD students
  • Masters students
  • Work-study students ("HiWi's")

Please follow the links for details on specific open positions.
