Long Night of Science at MPL

For the 8th time, physics-loving visitors had the opportunity to discover, explore and experiment at around 400 stations in Erlangen, Nuremberg and Fürth

On Saturday, October 21, around 4.000 visitors came to the new building of the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light in Erlangen (MPL). The opening ceremony was also held at  MPL. Dr Markus Söder, Bavarian minister of state for finance, state development and homeland, Prof. Dr Joachim Hornegger, president of the FAU, Prof. Dr. Michael Braun, president of the TH Nürnberg, Ralf Garbiel, CEO of Kulturidee and Prof. Dr Gerd Leuchs, Director of the MPL inaugurated the Long Night of Science around 6 p.m.

 

Visitors of all ages explored the science of light at 14 experiment-stations.
