Current research / employment The research deals with the investigations of excitations and detections of plasmonic gap waveguides. We demonstrated the efficient excitations of plasmonic gap waveguides via nanoantennas. The detections of such a highly confined mode can be either in the far field by crossed polarization setup or in the near field by scanning near field optical microscopy (SNOM). By cross-polarization detection from the far field, the focused optical beam is coupled to the highly confined mode of the plasmonic waveguide via the receiving resonant antenna. The cross polarization detection increases the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) dramatically. High transmissions through bends with μm sized radius are observed. I am currenlty working as prototype lead in Shanghai Siemens Medical Equipment Ltd. My work is prototyping and evaluation of postprocessing algorithms and reporting algorithm testcases in CT R&D department.
